Shri Sudhakar Nayak,born on 1st February 1964, born and brought in Puri district of Odisha, is an artist and handicraftsman by profession. He lives in Bhubaneswar where he runs his own venture Raja Rani Stone Carving Industries (1988-2015) recently known as SUMAN Handicrafts. His interest in drawing, handicrafts and sculpture was evident ever since he was a child. After his formal school education he enrolled to Handicraft Training Center, KONARK (1981-83) where he honed his craftsmen skills.

Over the course of his journey his dedication to arts and crafts has brought him many accolades and his workshop was visited and felicitated by former Prime Minister of India,Shri Chandra Sekhar and the Governor of Indonesia.

In 1995, He participated in Maharashtra Small Scale Industries Development Corporation Limited

In 1996, He was awarded with the State Handicraft Award by Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo

He also worked for Panthanivas, Odisha Government.

His Masterpiece of work in Abstract Figures can be seen in Hotel Hyatt Regency, Kolkata, Delhi and Mumbai.

He also carved sculptures and temples in Hotel Mayfair and Hotel Swosti Groups.

His immense love and passion for art and handicrafts helped him to win Adarsh Odisha Award in the year 2011

He sees himself as an inheritor of a great Odia tradition of craftsmanship. He is dedicated towards taking this heritage of Odisha to varied and diverse platforms
